The start of a new nursery year is an exciting time, and children in Raindrops and Star Rooms at Ilminster Avenue Nursery School have been busy settling into their new surroundings, making new friendships and discovering all the wonderful things nursery has to offer.
Over the past few weeks, children have been getting to know their key people, learning about daily routines and building trusting relationships with both adults and their peers. Through play, conversations and shared experiences, they have been developing a sense of belonging and growing in confidence as they become familiar with life at nursery.
Children have enjoyed exploring their new environment, learning where resources are kept and beginning to make choices about their play. As they navigate both indoor and outdoor spaces, they are developing independence, curiosity and problem-solving skills. Whether choosing an activity, exploring a favourite area or joining in with group experiences, children are learning that nursery is a safe and welcoming place where they can thrive.
It has been wonderful to watch children grow in confidence each day as they settle into nursery life. We are looking forward to seeing the friendships, learning and adventures continue to blossom throughout the year.
