Bristol Parent Carer Forum is hosting two free online sessions in July to support families of children with special educational needs and disabilities through key school transitions.
On Tuesday 7th July from 7pm to 8pm, the first session focuses on Starting Reception with SEND: What to Expect and How to Prepare. Delivered in partnership with Bristol City Council’s Portage and Inclusion Team, this session is ideal for families whose children will be starting school in September and who would like guidance and support on what to expect during that transition.
The following evening, on Wednesday 8th July from 7pm to 8pm, the second session covers Moving to Year 7 with SEND: What to Expect and How to Prepare, delivered in partnership with the Bristol Education Psychology Service. This session is aimed at families of children preparing for the move to secondary school.
