The children at Ilminster Avenue Nursery School have been captivated by the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and their learning came to life in the most magical way.
After carefully observing the transformation process, the children were thrilled to witness butterflies emerging from their chrysalises. This hands-on experience deepened their understanding of life cycles and the natural world.
The excitement continued as the children helped release the butterflies into the nursery’s brand-new butterfly garden. This beautiful space was created earlier this year thanks to a generous donation from “Wild Spaces,” an organisation that supports butterfly conservation.
The garden now serves as a living classroom, offering children the chance to connect with nature and observe wildlife up close.
