The children in Raindrops Room have been thoroughly engaged with this term’s curriculum goal “Make a Model”, exploring creative construction through a diverse range of materials and techniques. They have been discovering the endless possibilities of model-making using both traditional building materials and innovative recycled resources.
The children have shown remarkable ingenuity whilst working with cups, straws, and various craft materials to create unique three-dimensional structures. They have been developing their fine motor skills and spatial awareness as they experiment with different ways to connect and balance materials.
Both indoor and outdoor construction activities have captured their imagination, from wooden block building to creative collage work. The children have been learning to plan their designs and select appropriate materials for their projects, demonstrating growing confidence in their abilities.
We are delighted with the creativity the children have shown throughout their model-making journey. Their enthusiasm for exploring new materials and techniques continues to inspire us as we look forward to next term.
