The children in Star Room have been making their own delicious snacks for snack time!
The children were given a variety of ingredients to chose from, such as cucumber, sweetcorn and cheese.
They very carefully took their knife and spread the butter neatly over the wrap. After buttering, they turned their attention to the cutting.
They sliced their cucumber into bite sized pieces, sprinkled on some sweetcorn and topped it off with some grated cheese.
They tasted delicious!
What do you like to put in a wrap?
After they enjoyed eating their wraps, they then went on to to chop themselves some banana for dessert.
Holding and manipulating child-safe cutting tools help refine the small muscles in children’s hands. This activity also enhances their hand-eye coordination as they focus on cutting the fruit and vegetables accurately.
